Document human and AI roles for a music submission
“Made with AI” is not a production explanation. The 2026–2027 AIMEE rules separate AI’s role in the judged function, human contribution and rights. This is a source-based evidence workflow researched on October 20, 2026, not personal eligibility approval.
Match AI’s role to the award
The rules explain that AI mastering alone does not establish the relevant AI contribution for a composition award. One track may need different evidence in different categories.
List composition, lyrics, vocals, backing, samples, mixing and mastering. Record who did each part, the actual tool and the evidence available.
Write five factual parts
Describe generated or changed elements, actual tools/models, human direction and editing, source permissions and supporting files or links. Do not invent missing generation logs or parameters.
An illustrative sentence might credit human lyrics, generated backing, human reselection and licensed vocals. Use it only if those actions genuinely describe your production.
Similarity does not establish permission
The rules exclude unauthorized voices, likenesses and protected material. A tool accepting a reference file does not establish that you have the rights to enter or publish it.
Keep source, permission and allowed use in a ledger. Separate your own recordings, licensed voices and found audio; resolve uncertain sources before submission.
Check publication and final delivery
The cycle requires first public availability in 2026, with submitted links public and unchanged through judging. Verify accepted hosting in the current portal before paying.
Autonomous / Generative Work awards have a different recipient: the generative-music company. They are not automatically individual prompting awards. Confirm what is judged and who receives the award.
